Top 5 blushes for darker skin tones
With so many different colors and brands available, selecting the right shade of blush for your skin tone can be a challenge. To help with the process, one of our team members compiled a list of the top blush shades for different skin tones. We’ve pulled together the top 5 blushes for darker skin tones and shared them here.
A vibrant burnt orange with shimmer. This strongly pigmented blush creates a summery glow. See also Sleek Sahara, which is more muted in color and matte.
The pigmentation is very intense, but it can create a really natural-looking “just in from the cold” appearance. NARS Seduction is almost identical in color, but with a satiny sheen. Sleek Flushed and Black Radiance Warm Berry are also in the same color family.
A dark berry red with gold shimmer. This blush is intensely pigmented and blendable. While the shimmer may look over the top in the pan, it doesn’t translate to a disco ball look on your face. Sleek Pomegranate is nearly identical, and Wet n Wild Berry Shimmer and Kevyn Aucoin Neolita are other similar options with satin finishes.
An orange-y coral with shimmer. This is one of Milani’s more glittery blushes, but to reduce the shimmer, you can tap the excess off your brush before applying. For another drugstore coral blush, try Sleek Coral, which is matte and leans more pink.
A vibrant reddish pink with a matte finish. Extremely pigmented and blendable to a natural-looking flush. Tarte Natural Beauty is similar in color.
