Top 5 blushes for medium skin tones

Best of blush for medium skin tones

As part of our ‘best of beauty’ series, one of our team members compiled a list of the top blush shades for different skin tones. Her full recommendations for each skin tone can be found on our main site, but we’ve pulled together the top 5 picks for medium skin tones and shared them here. Enjoy!

1. MAC Mineralize Blush – Warm Soul, $27.00

A burnt peach with shimmer that creates a natural, warm glow. If you want something similar for a cheaper price, Milani Rose d’Oro isn’t a dupe, but it’s in the same color family.

2. Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher Pressed Powder – Pearlescent Pink 831E, $3.00

A peachy pink with shimmer. It has good pigmentation, though unfortunately, the packaging is quite flimsy. This blush is extremely similar if not identical to NARS Deep Throat. theBalm Hot Mama is another pretty, shimmery peachy pink.

3. theBalm Blush/Shadow – Frat Boy, $21.00

A coral pink with shimmer. It’s strongly pigmented, though not overly so, and soft in texture. NARS Amour isn’t a dupe, but it’s somewhat similar.

4. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush – Tipsy, $26.00

A matte coral. On skin with pink undertones, this color will lean more coral, while yellow-toned skin will pull out more orange-y tones. It has good pigmentation and lasting power and brightens up cheeks nicely.

5. MAC Powder Blush – Gingerly,  $22.00

A matte, medium peachy brown. This creates a warm, natural look on medium skin and goes with pretty much everything. As with MAC’s other sheertone blushes, the pigmentation is buildable.
